On the 21st January I exhibited at the Durker Roods Hotel Wedding Fair, it was a busy day despite the snow fall we had during the day (but doesn’t it make the grounds of the hotel look extra stunning?!). I got to meet loads of new Brides and Grooms and see some familiar faces who’s wedding days I’ll be sharing this year.
Also at the fair was Woo’B’Woo, The Balloon Fairy, Attention To Detail, Got It Covered Entertainment and many more!
Find us all there again at Durker Roods Hotel’s upcoming fayres on May 20th, July 18th and October 21st.
Finally here are some images from the day:
Hi again everyone, remember me? Probably not, because I haven’t blogged in months, sorry!!
I’ve had an incredibly busy summer and winter of photographing weddings, finishing uni & graduating, moving in with my boyfriend into our first home together and illnesses, all of which resulted in me putting the blog on the backseat after finishing university.
However I am back and ready to take on the blogging life again. I’ll be updating you with all of my weddings, shoots, whereabouts with wedding fairs and hotel open days and just some general chit chat from my everyday life outside of the business.
In the meantime I have been updating my website and making loads and loads of changes so please take a look, and lets see if I can keep up my blog this time!
When I was set the task to keep a blog for my university studies in my final year I knew this was something I would enjoy. They required us to blog about our shoots, findings and experiences for our Final Major Project and also to blog about all of the photography work we do outside of studying for our degree to look into what our plans would be post-course.
I have been running this blog for my business Zoe Ann Photography for a while before I joined my final year of uni in September so blogging about weddings, events, fairs and shoots came very easy to me. I found it a lot harder to blog about my own personal work as this is not something I usually share outside of university, however this has come a lot easier to me over the months. I knew that my blog had to maintain a professional image due to being a combination of my business and my degree so this is something I have tried to keep up throughout the year.
As I am coming to the end of my final year with my deadline being only tomorrow (eek!) I know that this blog is something I am going to continue to keep up with as I leave uni, I will continue to blog about weddings and events for the next years of my Zoe Ann Photography career!
For my final major project I have decided I want to exhibit my work within a photobook as well as exhibition prints. For this I printed out small prints of all the images I thought I wanted to be included in the book and cut it down to 30 images. I then explored different fonts and sized fonts as well as the quotes that I actually wanted within the book and the length of these quotes. The images below show the process I went through and a few screenshots of the final book layout within lightroom ready to send to blurb.
